Murder On The Menu – Murder Mystery Dinner
Every fall we join up with CUTC’s Seven Corpse Dinner Murder Mystery Theatre Troupe for an evening of good food and intrigue. This is an interactive dinning event. Diners get to gather clues provided throughout the evening and use them to deduce the identity and motive of the “murderer”. Proceeds from the event are used to help out local organizations.
Cunningham Children’s Home Toy Drive
In order to help the children at Cunningham Children’s Home have a good Christmas, each year we sponsor a toy drive. We will post a list online of gift ideas that the children of Cunningham’s have come up with, but all donations are welcome.
We typically have an Ugly Sweater social, where anyone can come and drop off a toy. Drop off locations will also be available for those unable to attend the social. Due to Covid-19 in 2020 we added a new option to purchase off an online wish list or donate money online, and our members had a blast shopping for toys.
Adopt a Highway
This is a Bi-Annual event where we help out our community by ensuring the cleanliness of our adopted road. We typically do it once in the spring, and again in the fall.
C-U Canteen Run Donation Drive
The C-U Canteen Run is dedicated to serving the most vulnerable in our community. They take the Salvation Army canteen truck throughout downtown Champaign-Urbana to offer food, clothing, blankets, supplies and information about agencies that can help to anyone who needs it.
Each year we help to support this amazing organization by putting on a collection of personal care/toiletry items and warm clothing at one of our socials. We also will have at least one other drop off point for those who wish to help out but are unable to attend. A list of items that are most needed will be posted at the time of our collection.
March Madness Brackets
The CU Jaycees host an annual March Madness bracket competition. Proceeds are split between the winners and a local organization that is chosen each year. A full breakdown will be supplied when the event begins.
School Supply Drive
Every year we hold a school supply drive for a local area school. The specific school and what is currently needed will be listed during the drive. Collections will be gathered during one of our socials, along with a drop off location.
Super Bowl Squares
Our annual Super Bowl Squares competition is run each year during the Super Bowl. We pick a local organization to support with the proceeds. You can view the full breakdown during the event.
